Summary

Under limited supervision, oversees property control functions including the maintenance of computerized capital assets, inventory and disposal records.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Monitors the acquisition, movement, depreciation, disposal and replacement of fixed assets for the standardization and best utilization.
  2. Assists in planning the acquisition of medical equipment and systems.
  3. Evaluates the value of non-priced assets and determines depreciation.
  4. Assists in furnishing plans of new facilities and building modifications; recommends new equipment if necessary.
  5. Coordinates with technical departments regarding medical and office automation to be acquired.
  6. Ensures that tagging, recording and transferring of items are properly done and that these activities are completely and accurately documented.
  7. Reviews procedural forms, such as the disposal authorization, for accuracy and completeness.
  8. Coordinates with concerned department staff on various disposal methods, either by auction, destruction, donation, or cannibalization.
  9. Submits periodic reports on capital assets, property disposal and new plans on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  10. Participates in various committees and projects as appointed.
  11. Initiates the development or needed updates of internal policies and procedures involving the Section.
  12. Evaluates staff performance and counsels them on areas of improvement.
  13. Participates in Self & Hospital’s Quality improvement plan preferred.
  14. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
  15. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.
  16. Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Administrative Sciences major in Accounting or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Five (5) years of related experience including two (2) years in supervisory capacity with Master’s Degree, or seven (7) years of similar qualifications with Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Other Requirements(Certificates)

  • Computer literacy is required.
  • English proficiency is required.
  • Other professional qualifications in accounting is preferred.

  • Saudi national is preferred.
