19th Academic and Research Day

Greetings.

The Center of Excellence for Oncology is pleased to invite you to attend the 19th Academic and Research Day.



Objectives:

1. Gain an understanding of ongoing clinical and molecular research and novel approaches in cancer management.
2. Highlight and share collaborative academic and research activities conducted by Radiation, Hematology, Medical. Surgical and Palliative Care services to enhance the existing standards of cancer care.
3. Review the previous findings and current methodologies to propose future ideas to channel currently available knowledge into new approaches and practices.
4. To explore new horizons and paradigms in cancer treatment by sharing the best practices in oncology research and establish new benchmarks to improve it.
5. Understand novel cellular, molecular and targeted therapies currently being investigated for vascular remodeling in
6. Cancer management.
7. Recognize the predisposing factors to the development of cancer, including genetic and exogenous factors and gain an understanding of the mechanisms whereby they may produce cancer. Gain an understanding of the pathophysiology of cancer and understand why certain indices of severity serve as predictors of survival.
8. Understand the role of emerging technologies and therapeutic modalities for cancer treatment.
