Baby-friendly Accreditation
Baby-friendly accreditation is based on standards set to provide parents and babies the best possible care that supports optimum health and development. The Breastfeeding Team members’ hard work in implementing these standards in participation with all KFSH&RC employees has resulted in this great recognition by the Ministry of Health (MOH). Initial visits by the MOH team were held May 8 through 10, 2018.
KFSH&RC – Riyadh officially received the designation from the Ministry of Health as a baby-friendly hospital, and on December 3, 2018 held a simple ceremony with Hospital management and the Breastfeeding Committee to celebrate the certification from the MOH, with their coordinators also present. Due to KFSH&RC management’s support, leadership and dedication, our institution has maintained this accreditation since its initial acquisition in 2004.
