The two-year fellowship program is designed to make a smooth transition from mastering the basic techniques and skills of cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesiology to advanced training, including transeosophageal echocardiography.

In addition, there are opportunities for participation in ongoing laboratory-based or clinical research. A core of dedicated and experienced cardiac anesthesiologists provides supervision and training. At the conclusion of training, the fellow will be confident as an independent practitioner with a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesiologists.
