Postgraduate Medical Education

Radiology

The Department of Radiology at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (Gen. Org.) is a vigorous component of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Radiology training program in Riyadh region.  The program is for four (4) years. A three-month rotation is spent in another institute annually to broaden the resident’s education and experience. This rotation provides a better chance for more primary and secondary cases exposure.

The training program is directed toward development of the best clinical radiologists with one-to-one, faculty-to-resident interaction.  One-to-one, staff-to-resident ratio makes the program unmatched for its superb clinical training with very high Board examination pass rate.  Residents are offered half academic day (lecture series) per week over the whole year and daily noon teaching tutorial/lecture in the Radiology conference room. There are 23 combined radiology-clinical conferences conducted every week in a stimulating educational environment.
