Palliative Care programs are now becoming an integral component of recognized cancer care programs.  King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre is privileged to have an established and developed palliative care program renowned in the East Mediterranean region.  

The Palliative Care Medicine fellowship program will allow enrolled physicians to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to promote palliative care services and to train other health professionals in caring for patients and families facing advanced life-limiting illnesses. This one-year program follows the standard duration of similar fellowship programs in North America.  Eligible candidates are those who obtained their Saudi Specialty Certificate (or equivalent) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Candidates with boards in other specialties may be considered on an individual basis.
