Interventional Radiology

The program is a one-year fellowship that provides training in all facets of body interventional radiology, including vascular intervention such as embolizations, stenting, stent grafting varicose laser and thrombolysis, as well as non-vascular biliary, bowel and urinary tract interventions. Central vascular catheter access placements are also conducted. Training includes imaging-guided procedures such as biopsies and drainages.

Fellows will be exposed to diagnostic CT and MR angiography examinations. They will be trained in the appropriate clinical work-up, preparation and management of patients, in addition to the prevention and appropriate management of complications. Weekly meetings are held with vascular surgery and urology services.
