Woman Imaging

A one-year fellowship program devoted to a newly emerging field within radiology that requires a special kind of care and expertise. Fellows are trained in the performance and interpretation of specialized examinations relevant to female patients. This includes all aspects of breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI.  Techniques such as ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies will be learned.

Moreover, fellows will be trained in ultrasound, CT, and MR imaging of gynecological and obstetrical conditions, in addition to procedures such as hysterosalpingography and bone densitometry. High-risk obstetrical ultrasound will be performed under the supervision of specialists in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A weekly breast cancer meeting is held with oncologists, pathologists and radiation oncologists.
