The Medical and Clinical Affairs, Academic and Training Affairs and the Research Centre cordially invite you to attend the 10^th KFSH&RC Residents’ Research Day which will be held on Thursday, 16^th of February 2017. This activity is intended to enable residents, fellows and research students at KFSH&RC share with each other their scientific research projects and present their work in a friendly competitive atmosphere. Valuable awards will be granted to the best research projects in different categories at the end of the activity. The organizing committee is working hard to produce a strong scientific program of the highest caliber.

Call for abstracts:

The organizing committee of the 10th KFSH&RC Annual Residents’ Research Day encouraged everyone to participate in the “Abstracts Competition”. Abstracts will only be considered if a resident/ fellow/research student has participated significantly in its preparation. Each abstract must be accompanied by a letter from the senior author outlining the participant’s exact role in the project. The project has to be original and has not been published previously. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that the project has been approved by Office of the Research Affairs (ORA) prior to submission. ORA-approved projects will be looked at favorably during the selection of abstracts by the committee and at the time of selecting the winners during the event.

We are interested in all topics related to patient’s health care including clinical and experimental research. Submissions will be accepted as original paper for 7-minute podium presentation.

The deadline for abstract submission is on the 31 December 2016 (Saturday).

Instructions for abstract submission:

• Abstracts should be no more than 250 words in length and should be structured as follows:

1. Font style – Arial
2. Font size – 10
3. Abstracts to be constructed as follows:
• Author (Please submit all the Authors Name)
• Background/Purpose
• Methodology
• Results
• Conclusion

• Abstract entry (abstract form in Word Program) and a signed memo (scanned copy) from the senior author (stating the exact role of the participant in the project) can be submitted via email to ata@kfshrc.edu.sa
