In line with the hospital mission, the Department of Emergency Medicine in KFSH&RC operates to provide the highest quality of specialized health care in an integrated education and research setting. Our annual volume is 65,000 patients. The Department has an Adult, Pediatric and Ambulance Service Sections that operate 24/7 to provide state-of-the-art Emergency access for best out-come to all eligible patients.

Our staff provides initial assessment and management of all patients presenting to the department of emergency medicine, and maintain readiness for all internal and external disasters.

 

Highlights

  • The Department of Emergency Medicine has attained the designation of "Accredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention" (PCI) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, Ohio, USA as the first hospital in the Kingdom and the second in the Middle East.

  • Conducting Emergency Medicine Update Symposium three times a year in different regional hospitals in the Kingdom.
  • Conducting Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound Courses- Basic and Instructor twice a year
  • Conducting International Conference in Pediatric Emergency Medicine every two years
