Dr. Al-Fayyadh launches the First Registries Core Facility Awareness Day in "KFSH&RC"

H.E Dr. Majid Al Fayyadh, CEO of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre launched the "First Registries Core Facility Awareness Day" organized by KFSH&RC to raise awareness among all those interested in the research field in order to improve the quality of preventive and curative health care services for Saudi patients.

Dr. Maha Aleid, Head of the Registries Core Facility at KFSH&RC said that the activities of the First Registries Core Facility Awareness Day are performed with the participation of the Epilepsy Registry, Cleft Lip/ Palate Registry, Rare Dental Disorders Registry, Pan-Arab Liver transplant Registry, Cystic Fibrosis Registry, HIV Registry and Parenteral Nutrition Registry.

Dr. Aleid added that the disease registries project established in 1998 leads to statistical expectations that would predict the results for Saudi patients suffering from several diseases, pointing out the importance of using the research results of these registries in the development of the health care in KSA to advanced levels, thereby reducing the patient suffering and improving health care and its quality for patients and their families, which will significantly reduce health care costs.
