In continuation of the mission of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org) to be a world leader in Healthcare through excellence & innovation, Cardiovascular department in Jeddah successfully launched the Robotic Cardiothoracic surgery program utilizing the da Vinci Xi® Robotic system which is the latest technology in the field of robotic surgery on 20 June 2018. Multiple procedures has been performed includes Robotic Assisted CABG and major Thoracic procedure.

“Utilizing the new technology of Robotic Cardiothoracic Surgery plays a major role in the expansion of minimally invasive surgery, whose purpose to achieve the best patients care” according to the surgical team counting among its members Drs. Ahmed Abdullah Jamjoom and Uthman Saad AlUthman.

The Minimal Invasive Program was first initiated last year. Successfully, Over 30 cases were done with excellent outcomes. Moreover, comprehensive Robotic surgery program underway in multiple specialties include Urology and Gynecology will follow to continue providing our patients the outmost care.
