The Scientific Publications Office under Academic and Training Affairs Department announces that articles published in the Annals of Saudi Medicine (ASM) have been digitized and indexed through PubMed Central (PMC) which is one of the prestigious databases in the biomedical and life sciences fields managed by the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).

Out of 50 medical and scientific journals in Saudi Arabia, ASM is one of the two journals which has a retroactive archive of medical articles from 2004.

Prof. Nasser Al-Sanea, Editor-in-Chief of ASM, stated: “PMC indexation and recognition will offer greater discoverability to our authors and their published work. This development will greatly impact the viewership of contributing authors in the ASM, increasing its international readers, and encouraging further submissions to the journal. We would like to thank our editorial board members, editorial team, and authors for their hard work and contributions that have made this possible.”
