KFSH&RC in Riyadh Records 95,000 Patient Visits in Polyclinics Within 9 Months

Dr. Abdullah Alkhenizan , Head of the Department of Family Medicine and Polylinics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) in Riyadh, has confirmed that the department recorded over 95,000 patient visits from within and outside of Riyadh during the first 9 months of the year 2018.
Dr. Alkhenizan explained that the department caters to 14 cities in different regions of Saudi through visits by consultant doctors who treat patients in their locations through medical care programs in regional polyclinics as well as virtual clinics. These services are provided in cooperation with the hospital's Health Outreach Services Department.
Dr. Alkhenizan further said that the Department of Family Medicine and Polyclinics plays an important role by carrying out activities for raising awareness among patients in scientific forums and organizing training courses for health sector workers in Riyadh or outside. A total of 12,600 health practitioners from all regions of the Kingdom have so far participated in these programs and activities.
His Excellency Dr. Majid Alfayyadh, Chief Executive Officer of the general organization of KFSH&RC, honored the Department of Family Medicine and Polyclinics for their distinguished role and quality programs organized by them. He praised the success achieved by several consultant doctors and trainees in the area of specialized medical care or in the form of distinguished research output.
