KFSH&RC Celebrates the Graduation of 112 Male and Female Saudi Nationals in the Health Programs and Saudi Career Development Program

His Excellency Majid Al Fayyadh, MD, MMM and Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC) honored 112 male and female graduates of the 18th batch of the Allied Health Programs besides a new batch of Saudi Career Development Program.

The ceremony included the graduation of 29 female students of the medical sterilization program, 19 female students of the phlebotomy training program, and 15 students of the infection control program. It also included the graduation of two nurses in the high diploma program in oncology nursing and 47 male and female students in the Saudi Career Development Program in various administrative, technical, and health specialties.

H.E. Dr. Al Fayyadh stated that the graduation ceremony of this batch of male and female students conforms to vision and pioneering role of KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.) in the health sector through the enrichment of educational arena and contribution to the qualification and training of national cadres in this noble humanitarian field. This is in line with the Saudi Vision of 2030 pertaining to the qualification and training of national cadres.

H.E. Dr. Al Fayyadh expressed his appreciation for the Human Resources Development Fund at the Ministry of Labour and Social Development for supporting the health programs. He also thanked the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for supervising the programs. He congratulated the male and female graduates for their success and achievement in their field of specialization and appreciated their efforts.

Dr. Abdulkader Al Attas, Director of Training and Development Division at KFSH&RC-Riyadh, said that the training division in the hospital is based on three key pillars: providing specialized information, imparting specialized skills that are necessary to meet the growing needs of the hospital, and training in professional behavior and ethics.

Dr. Attas stated that the training division has admitted 156 trainees for this year within the Saudi Career Development Program to equip the trainees with professional experience and place them in different jobs according to their specialties, whether in health, technical, or administrative fields. According to Dr. Al Attas, the number of admissions increased by 97% compared with the last year.

At the end of the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Al Fayyadh handed over graduation certificates to the students. It was followed by a photo session.
