Food services Goals and objectives

  • To provide tasty meals for our patients.
  • To exceed the expectations of our customers through the provisions of product and service excellence.
  • To monitor and implement quality standards as per JCIA, Environmental safety standards as per US occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and food quality standards as per Hazard Analysis and Critical control Points (HACCP) of US FDA.
  • To evaluate the need of the department staff for training collaborates with health care professionals in the Hospital and other training institutions/ companies to provide the staff with the required training.

 Our strategy in Food Services Department is working together as a team to create an excellent exemplar provide a dietetic service to all patients and staff by creating a quality plan for monitoring of safety and quality goals. Food Services Department is providing continuously training courses to its staff in order to ensure delivery of high quality of care in a culture that fosters patient safety.

Finally, we are here to serve all efficiently to reach the satisfaction of patients and staff.

Food services location and working hours:

1-Main Kitchen utility building

Timing: 24 Hours / 7 Days, Production area: Patient, Functions and cafeteria.

2-Main Cafeteria 1st floor ,Main Hospital

Timing: 7:00am to 4:00pm/ 7 Days
Breakfast: 06:30 AM - 09:00 AM
Lunch: 11:30 AM - 03:30 PM
Dinner: 04:30 PM - 09:00 PM

3-Food services lounge-west building - South Building.

4 –Rolling trolley Ground Floor, Utility Building

Provide Small pact meals snack (Break Fast, Lunch)

5-Room Service / Main Kitchen utility building

Food service software is the Food service technology provider focused on improving patient satisfaction scores and providing us with modules for:

The food Services Software (FSS) is the power to streamline Food Services operations like never before, and it’s a good example of how we are  at KFSH&RC exercising our vision statement of being a World Leading institution of excellence and innovation, FSS Has been custom-made / especially for King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre – Jeddah Branch.

2/ Diet clerks in the wards Project: (DCW)

Providing a hotel style services which will increase patients’ satisfaction then affect positively on patients health. Food services diet clerk’s offices are allocated in each word station joining the health team, Food services software on sight, Side by side meal ordering for selected patients and Monitor the food delivery.
