About Us 

We are committed in carrying out our duties and responsibilities in assisting patients eligible for medical treatment whose condition needs tertiary care in accordance with the hospital’s policy and guidelines.  We ensure that services delivered to our patients meet their expectation and satisfaction.

Both department of medical eligibility service in Riyadh and Jeddah report to the corporate office of patient acceptance center of kfsh&rc organization.

Medical Eligibility Services aims to provide access to eligible patients seeking specialized medical care at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org).

Goals & Objectives:

  1. Facilitate Patients acceptance.                                                                                              
  2. Determine patient's eligibility to Treatment Expense Allocation (Government Account).           
  3. Ensure confidentiality of patient information.                                                                        
  4. Develop a fully integrated system of patient referral and acceptance in KFSH&rc Riyadh and Jeddah.
  5. Continue to improve the turnaround time of response.                                                        
  6. Establish an electronic mechanism to effectively discharge patients who completed their treatment from the KFSH&RC system.                                                                                          
  7. Continue to provide accurate statistical reports on the number of patients accepted, not accepted and incomplete.                                                                                   
  8. utilization of (ICD10) as basis in determining tertiary care cases.                                                
  9. collaborate with other outside medical Institution of facilitate patients acceptance and discharge.

 

The Medical Eligibility Services Department is comprised of three main sections

  1. Patient Acceptance - receives, evaluates, and distributes all new cases and medical referrals to concerned medical departments accordingly. This section also handles all treatment orders and decides who will be the financial guarantor.
  2. National Collaboration – handles all strategies and modules regarding patient services between KFSH&RC and all outside related institutions in addition to handling all patient related issues.

Also, this section communicates and coordinates with all hospitals and general medical committees all over the Kingdom. They also receive and respond to cases transferred electronically from and to all hospitals and general medical committees.

  1. Medical Eligibility Control – process and handles all issues related to patients and employees already being followed up in KFSH&RC and facilitate discharge patients.
