Overview
Radioactive materials have long been used in medicine for imaging and cancer treatment. In our translational research, we refine the application of radiation in diagnosis and treatment, producing innovative clinical solutions.
Advancing Healthcare via Innovative Radionuclides, Optimized Radiolabelling Processes, and Targeted Radiopharmaceuticals.
We are conducting research into innovative uses for certain radioisotopes that are used in PET scans, enabling them to target specific cells so that the extent of disease can be diagnosed, while simultaneously delivering the required therapy. This theranostic approach will have benefits in the treatment of various cancers that express the target cells, and will also reduce the toxic side effects of treatment in non-cancerous tissue.
We are also exploring the synthesis of peptides in antiviral treatment, and the extraction of bioactive peptides from natural sources, such a brewer’s yeast.
