MISSION STATEMENT
The Department of Oncology at KFSH&RC strives to provide excellent cancer care, education and research by means of integrated teamwork.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This Seminar is primarily designed for Primary Care Physicians, General Internist Surgeons, Fellows and Residents.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The last two decades has been a period of tremendous growth in the field of Oncology. It is our hope that this Seminar will not only provide a basic overview but also highlight the recent
advances in diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The professional interaction between the Oncologists of the KFSH&RC and the participants will help in the transfer of such new knowledge and technology.
We also hope that it will improve the communication between the two groups, which will ultimately lead to better care of our patients. A new addition to the curriculum this year is the Minimum Cancer
Management Guidelines being introduced by the King Faisal Cancer Center. These are designed as a set of minimum requirement to help improve management of cancer in the Kingdom. Each participant
will get a Certificate of Attendance. The participants will also be provided with a binder, which will include all the lectures, the printout of slides and other educational material for their personal
use and reference.
7 CME hours have been applied for the seminar to the Saudi Council for Health Specialties.
