"1st Annual AIDS Workshop"

Target Audience:

  1. Health Care Workers (HCWs): All consultants, fellows, residents, nurses, and technicians in all fields of medicine.
     
  2. Public.

Educational Objectives:

  1. For Health Care Workers (HCWs):

    a. Increase awareness about the slope of the problem,
       it is a real epidemiological and when to suspect an
       infection
    b. Bring them to date on available treatment
    c. Available tool for already diagnosed
    d. Most important, change the attitude about this
       disease from being a killer to a disease patient, can
       hope for a decade of decent life
    e. The importance of supportive care to the patient
     
  2. For the public:

    a. Erase the phobia about AIDS
    b. Pass to them the real scientific information about the
       disease, how big the problem and how can we
       control it
    c. Clarify the method about HIV infected people and
       try to bring them close to the society.

This Workshop is accredited by the Saudi Council For Health Specialties.  The numbers of CMEs are 5, Council Eligibility Number (2004/3/2417), Date (11/5/1425).

AACME Credit Designation Statement

The American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME) is the sponsor of the continuing medical education portion for this symposium.

AACME designates this continuing medical education activity for a maximum of  "4.75" hours in Category 1 credit of the Physician's Recognition Award. 

Each physician must claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
