I am pleased to announce the "Cleft Lip & Palate Workshop" to be held on the 22nd and 23rd of April 2003 at King
Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The educational objective of this program is to address the needs of the patients with cleft lip & palate and to share with participants the most current concepts regarding the team approach, recent
techniques, and different treatment modality.
The topics will be of primary interests to Plastic Surgeons, Oral Maxillofacial, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, ENT
Surgeons, Speech Therapists, Pediatricians, and Nurses involved in the care of patients with cleft lip & palate.
The workshop will include live interactive surgery by International Guest and will cover the repair of the cleft lip, cleft palate, cleft lip rhinoplasty, alveolar bone grafting, and pharyngoplasty. These
procedures will be performed during the
morning sessions. During the afternoon, didactic lectures of different topics by International and Local Speakers will cover different aspects of cleft lip & palate.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will acquire a clear understanding of the interdisciplinary team approach
and state of the art treatment modalities.
