MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY AND RELATED CONDITIONS 29-30 September 2003 / 03-04 Shaban 1424
Dear Colleagues:
The Departments of Neurosciences and Academic and Training Affairs welcomes you to the "Muscular Dystrophy and Related Conditions"
Symposium at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh on 3-4 Shaban 1424, 29 September – 30 September 2003.
Muscular dystrophy, motor neuron diseases and peripheral neuropathies are prevalent in the Kingdom and surrounding areas. In fact a number of these diseases were first identified in our region by local physician
investigators. Some of these diseases are disabling and lead to early death, leaving physicians and families feeling unnecessarily hopeless. Current and future diagnostic treatment options for these diseases are
developing at record speeds. This will be the first congress in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia devoted entirely to neuromuscular diseases.
The objectives of the conference are:
- To define different congenital and acquired neuromuscular disorders.
- To update the participants on the latest scientific and therapeutic breakthroughs in selected disorders. To raise the level of awareness for healthcare providers serving this patient population.
- To raise the level of awareness for healthcare providers serving this patient population.
