WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Medical Physicists and Experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

Participants will learn most of the NEMA NU 1-2001 recommended tests. They will learn preparation of phantoms and sources used, acquisition of the data and then processing and analyzing the acquired image(s) for these tests. The participants will have the chance to perform some tests under supervision and to present the results of the tests.

TOPICS:

General nuclear medicine physics, gamma camera instrumentation including SPECT, quality control and assurance, optimization of SPECT imaging, as well as artifacts in imaging.
