EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

Skull Base Surgery approaches aim to remove a lesion situated in a bony no man's land with the combined efforts of Otoneurotology and Neurosurgery to get the best approach for the patient with minimal morbidity.  The leading principle through this evolution was to find an adequate access by removing the bone from the skull base with minimal retraction of the brain.  This Symposium aims to gather together medical practitioners and identify pertinent cases where diagnosis and standard treatment can be discussed to achieve leadership in this sub-specialty area and bring about a unified approach in tackling relevant issues affecting the vital field of medicine.
