Introduction:
The Invasive Cardiology Laboratory is committed to preparing graduates to provide the highest quality of non-invasive cardiac investigations for patient of King Faisal Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) and to all other departments in a highly specialized Hospital environment. Cardiac Cath Laboratory is where tests and procedures including ablation, angiogram, angioplasty and implantation of pacemakers / ICDs are carried out. This internship-training program will help interns to perform and understand the procedures related to cardiac diseases and their diagnostic treatment.
Objectives:
- Understand the basic fundamental of cardiac physiology.
- Recognize the structure of the heart and its anatomy.
- Establish rapport with staff to develop good work ethic.
- Perform diagnosable cardiac imaging and handling equipment.
- Develop clinical and skills proficiency.
Duration:
Three (3) months
Acceptance Criteria:
- Internship request letter from Intern’s sponsor
- Saudi national or borne from Saudi mother only
- GPA 3.5 out of 5 or 3 out 4 or above
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Cardiovascular Technology or Equivalent Program
- Valid English Qualification IELTS. (minimum score is 4.5 overall, or equivalent)
