The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre’s (KFSH&RC) Supply Chain Management (SCM) Internship Program is a unique opportunity for Undergraduate interns to garner hands-on experience and take their classroom learning into the real world as they experience KFSH&RC’s supply chain management processes responsible for our continued success in producing and delivering the region’s best healthcare services to KFSH&RC patients.
The program follows the entire SCM process starting with the planning and purchasing of supplies to the delivery where they are distributed to stores, warehouses, and end-users. Following that process, interns will explore each of the facets involved in the SCM process at KFSH&RC including Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing, Receiving, Warehousing, Logistics, and Distribution. Interns will gain real-world applications of theory and SCM concepts by working in an entry-level capacity in our facilities as well as spending time with supervisors and managers in some of these areas.
KFSH&RC Internship Program is designed to assist an Intern’s development through practical learning, training, and networking opportunities. This will allow interns early in their careers to manage their professional development and realize their potential.
The SCM Internship at KFSH&RC can range in length from two months to one academic year and takes place during regular and summer semesters.
