In a unique gesture to support the Saudi national football team in its World Cup finals in Russia, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) in Riyadh launched a sports tourism program for some staff members to help them participate in the World Cup.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the General Organization of KFSH&RC-Riyadh, His Excellency Dr. Majid Alfayyadh, arranged a free package containing round trip tickets, accommodation, and tickets for the matches to be played by the Saudi team for eight employees who were selected through an electronic draw of lots.
The director of Human Resources Services and the director in-charge of the Employees’ Social Club, Mohammed Al-Seif, explained that the initiative was part of a series of programs adopted by the human resources department in collaboration with the Employees’ Social Club of the hospital under the direction and support of His Excellency the CEO to create an attractive work environment for employees. It also aims to express our solidarity and support for the national team in its international outing in the World Cup finals, as stated by him.
According to Al-Seif, the most important inclusion criteria set by the human resources department for the draw was that the employee must be a Saudi national and must have completed at least 10 years of service with a “Very Good” grade in his last year’s performance assessment. He pointed out that, more than 400 employees who met the criteria took part in the contest. A committee comprising employees from various departments held the draw. Eight employees who were selected in the draw were given a package comprising free tickets for travel, accommodation, and tickets for the matches to be played by the Saudi team.
