In Jun, 2016, H.E. Fahad Al Jalajel was appointed as the Vice Minister of Health for Planning & Development in Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, he assumed the position as the Deputy Minister for Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2012.

AlJalajel holds MSc. in Information Science from Saint Joseph's University in Pennsylvania, and he has a B.Sc. degree in Computer and Information Sciences from King Saud University in Riyadh, KSA.

He is leading the Vision Realization Team in MOH and The National Plan for E-Health transformation. Currently he is the Chairmen of the board of LEAN Health Development Co. Board member of several organization including: Saudi Food and Drug Authority Authority(SFDA), Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Saudi Patient Safety Center, Medical Cities and Specialized Hospitals Council, National Health Insurance Center, Council of Cooperative Health Insurance, and the Ministerial Supervisory Committee for Privatization in the Health Sector.

AlJalajel in his previous engagements participated in several government organization as a Board Member including the Council of Competition Protection (Saudi Antitrust), Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage, Saudi Standers Metrology & Quality Organization (SASO), Saudi Grains Authority, Human Resources Development Fund, Riyadh Regional Council, Executive Committee for Digitization.

He participated as Board Member in several corporations including: Jeddah Development & Urban Regeneration Co, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Flyadeal Airline, Thigah Business solutions Co, Takamol Holding, Tamkeen Technologies Solution Co.
