Summary

Provides senior professional support to the Higher Management to plan, direct, organize and coordinate the overall daily operations of assigned services/functions to achieve its mission, goals and objectives and to enhance its existing systems, processes and productivity in coordination with counterpart departments across the Hospital.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Monitors and updates the assigned Department’s mission, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures and other official documents, in coordination with counterpart departments, as necessary.

2. Ensures effective communication with relevant departments to ensure that the patients’ needs are adhered to.

3. Assists the Higher Management in receiving patients and responding to their inquiries and complaints and liaising with concerned departments to ensure satisfactory solutions.

4. Ensures the timely preparation of annual operating budget for all assigned services/functions. Monitors and keeps expenditures within allocated budget in coordination with counterpart departments.

5. Advises the Higher Management regarding all matters related to the Hospital operations. Prepares periodic reports and assists in developing short and long range planning.

6. Makes presentations on assigned projects and assignments to the Higher Management, as requested.

7. Assigns works, establishes priorities, monitors performance, and submits periodical clear and concise administrative and financial reports for all assigned services/functions.

8. Ensures that all transactions processed through all assigned services/functions are authentic and are in accordance with the Hospital policies, procedures, and government regulations.

9. Monitors and evaluates the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of service delivery process; assesses and monitors work load, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identifies opportunities for improvement and overall patient’s satisfaction in coordination with counterpart departments. 

10. Maintains collaborative and effective relationships with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, and regulatory guidelines, which may influence assigned functions/services and/or the Hospital’s.

Education

PhD or Master’s Degree in Hospital /Healthcare Administration, BusinessAdministration, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Six (6) years of related experience with PhD, or nine (9) years with Master’s Degreeincluding four (4) years at a senior/managerial position is required.

Other Requirements(Certificates)

Experience in Hospital operations and planning is required.
