Summary

Instructs and contributes to the delivery of safe, patient, and community focused quality care in accordance with the American Heart Association (AHA)/Saudi Heart Association (SHA) evidence based research and guidelines. Collaboratively teaches basic and advanced life support courses to medical, nursing, and allied health professionals for the improvement of patient mortality rate outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Teaches and performs as Clinical Instructor and Training Centre Faculty in all of the Life Support Training Centre programs in accordance with AHA/SHA guidelines and recommendations. 

2. Demonstrates collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships throughout the Hospital while working towards the achievement for constant improvement of quality patient care.

 3. Conducts, monitors, and documents all relevant Hospital wide Basic and Advanced Life Support Mock Codes and generates reports, for assessment, on a quarterly and annual basis. 

4. Participates in educational activities that support the advancement of healthcare, which are critical to the Hospital’s vision, mission, values, and guiding principles. 

5. Contributes to the promotion of professional development of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals within the Hospital and within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 6. Assesses, plans, and implements community based Life Saving programs to non-medical Hospital’s staff and to residents throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

7. Promotes the development and support of International Training Sites under the supervision and leadership of the Life Support Training Centre, Academic and Training Affairs.8. Reviews current evidence based literature associated to intensive critical and resuscitation care in order to appropriately disseminate clinical data. 

9. Partakes in the inventory and maintenance of all necessary equipment, supplies, and materials utilized throughout the Life Support Training Centre, Academic and Training Affairs. 

10. Upholds a healthy and safe environment by adhering to all Hospital related policies and procedures.

 11. Behaves as a professional role model, as an example, to colleagues and peers.

Education

Masters or Bachelor Degree of Science in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, EmergencyParamedic, or other related disciple is required. 

Experience Required

Two (2) years of related experience with Masters, or four (4) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required. 

Other Requirements(Certificates)

? Current Registered License from country of origin is required. 

? Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification as a Basic and Advanced Life Support Provider and Instructor is required. 
? Previous Basic Life Support and Advance Life Support teaching experience is preferred.
