Among more than 50 submissions in several fields, the project successfully passed the Quality Management Division thorough process of evaluation including innovation, used PI methodology, implementation, outcome, impact, cost, timeline, and improvement process. The project main aim was to digitize past issues of the ASM between 1981-2008, populate the digitized soft content into international medical/scientific databases, and improve the LinkOut KPIs by 80%.

Information is power and medical and scientific research papers are very crucial information that are needed all the time. With the digitization of the ASM past issues, the Scientific Publications Office is ensuring that these vital information are still available at the present day and that they are easily available to physicians, researchers, and other people who are interested in the medical and scientific field. Comprehensive and effective digital copies of these manuscripts help the journal to meet the demand of the online world and also increase its own impact in the research world. It also gives the Scientific Publications Office the experience and skill to offer consultancy services to other journals who are interested in archiving their past published content. More importantly though, the digitization of the ASM past issues adds knowledge, research tools, and databases to the next generation of medical and scientific professionals.
