Overview

Rigorous epidemiology, advanced analytics and innovative digital technologies are the tools we use to drive groundbreaking research in multiple areas of medical research, with a focus on mental health.

Harnessing Data to Advance Mental Health and Clinical Innovation

Mental health research in Saudi Arabia and the region has historically been limited, despite its central importance for national policy, healthcare planning, and service allocation. Our group is addressing this gap by leading the first comprehensive national epidemiological study of mental health in the Kingdom, in collaboration with the Harvard–WHO World Mental Health Survey Initiative.

In parallel, our expertise in epidemiology and biostatistics positions our team as a key translational partner for clinicians across the institution. We provide advanced methodological and analytical support for diverse clinical programs, with active research spanning cystic fibrosis, pediatric kidney transplantation, ICU outcomes (including COVID-19), epilepsy, and other major disease areas.

Our Team

Our work in mental health and translational research is driven by a shared commitment to impact lives.
