Welcome to the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (Gen.Org.)-Jeddah Branch, Nursing Affairs.
Globally nursing is facing challenging times. Nurses are faced with questions such as
·Do we make a difference?
·How do we stay engaged and motivated when we are facing nursing shortages?
·How do we stay current in our knowledge?
·How do we balance the responsibilities of work with the responsibilities of home and family?
The exciting part of being part of the “King Faisal Nursing Team” here in Jeddah as part of the broader King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (General Organization) is that we have the opportunity to create the professional practice environment we all want to work in and provide high quality care to our patients. Essential to the provision of quality of care is the Code of Ethics by which each and every nurse bases his or her practice.
We know that nurses are central to high quality patient care. We also know that this care cannot be delivered without a nursing workforce that is right in both numbers and skills.
We are not only expanding with additional towers, buildings and departments. We also are building a positive work environment to support our professional practice and professional development.
Nursing Affairs has become the core of activities supporting quality patient care based on best available evidence, autonomous professional practice, professional development, recruitment and retention, nursing informatics and generating knowledge through research.
These are exciting, and yet challenging times for all of us. While KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.)-Jeddah Branch is a center of excellence with international accreditations it is our vision to become a world leading institution of excellence and innovation in healthcare.
