Quality Board of Directors reports are prepared quarterly by Quality Management group and presented to the Quality and Safety committee of the Board of Directors. The report gives the management and leadership an overview of the quality provided to our patients and in many cases benchmarked with international best practice.

An important component of the report includes Key Performance Indictors related to six (6) domains; Safety, Access to care, Efficiency, Effectives, Appropriateness, and Patient Experience.

Accreditation Section

The Accreditation Section plays a crucial role in facilitating the hospital’s commitment to quality patient care and safety standards and this is in line with the vision, mission and values of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC).

The section’s team support hospital wide and departmental Accreditations processes which perform an objective, standards-based evaluation of the healthcare provided at KFSH&RC.

The Patient Safety Section at KFSH&RC is committed to maximizing patient safety and promoting a safe and secure environment for all individuals. Aligned with the hospital's Quality Framework towards Excellence Plan, it includes comprehensive activities in Patient Safety.

Performance Improvement

The Performance Improvement (PI) Section is considered paramount in optimizing patient outcome and patient experience. Performance Improvement is a systematic approach aided by appropriate tools to diagnosing and solving problems related to staff and process performance and productivity in the workplace; PI focused on delivering results-oriented outcomes that are measurable, regardless of the type of problem or method of intervention selected.

Patient Safety Culture Survey Results

The patient safety culture is a vital compass guiding our commitment to excellence in healthcare by helping us to identify the opportunities and challenges we all face in becoming a safe environment for our patients.

This feedback from our staff gives invaluable insights into the perceptions of our patient safety culture and allows us to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement so as to positively impact patient care.
