نظرة عامة على البرنامج:

إن برنامج تدريب أطباء المسالك البولية المقيمين، برنامج تدريب سريري يمتد خمس سنوات، ويتكون من سنة واحدة من الجراحة العامة وأربع سنوات من التدريب في مجال المسالك البولية. يقدم قسم جراحة المسالك البولية طيفاً متنوعاً من حالات المرضى المنومين في المستشفى ومرضى العيادات الخارجية. توفر الخدمات الكبيرة فرصة استثنائية لنمو المعرفة وتعزيز المهارات والتطوير المهني. كما ويتم إجراء جراحة المناظير. تشمل البرامج السريرية الأخرى أعصاب المسالك البولية، ومشاكل السلس البولي، ومشاكل التبول، ومشاكل أرضية الحوض، وجراحة إعادة تركيب الحوض، ويتضمن ذلك إجراءات تشخيصية وعلاجية للعناية الكاملة بالمريض الذي يعاني من هذه الأمراض ومضاعفاتها. يتعرف المتدربون المقيمون على حالات الحصيات البولية، وجراحة المسالك البولية عند الأطفال وأورام المسالك البولية، وإعادة تركيب القناة البولية-التناسلية، ومشاكل الجهاز البولي الداخلي، والعقم عند الذكور وغيرها من الحالات. تقام العديد من الأنشطة التعليمية بانتظام في القسم. ويتم تشجيع جميع المتدربين المقيمين في قسم جراحة المسالك البولية للاستفادة من هذه الفرصة لأداء كل الدراسات والأبحاث السريرية والأساسية خلال تدريبهم. ويؤدي المتدربون المقيمون هذه المشاريع تحت إشراف دقيق من واحد أو أكثر من الأطباء المشرفين الذين يساعدون في إعداد المخطوطات للنشر.

We are proud to welcome you to the Urology Residency Program at KFSH&RC. Our program is dedicated to providing trainees with a comprehensive and up-to-date medical education in all aspects of urology. We strive to produce outstanding urologists who can provide excellent care for their patients. Our faculty members are highly experienced and respected throughout the region, and they are committed to helping our residents reach their full potential.

Training Structure

The residency program consists of a one-year general surgery rotation followed by four years of specialty training in different subspecialties of urology, which includes minimally invasive surgery, endourology, oncology, andrology, infertility, reconstructive surgery and pediatric urology. Our program is designed to ensure trainees have an excellent education and the skills necessary for success in the field of urology. Our residency program strives to create an environment of learning and growth for all of our residents.

Educational Activities

The program consists of weekly grand rounds, research activities, simulation center, animal lab, and multidisciplinary tumor boards. These activities provide a well-rounded education experience for our residents, allowing them to develop the skills needed to become successful in the field of urology. During the weekly grand rounds, residents are given the opportunity to present their research and clinical findings to their peers as well as faculty. This allows them to gain valuable feedback on their work and get insight into the field of urology. The simulation center and animal lab offer residents the chance to practice their surgical and technical skills in a safe and controlled environment, giving them the confidence, they need before they enter the operating room. The multidisciplinary tumor boards provide an opportunity for residents to learn from faculty and other specialists in the field, giving them a comprehensive view of the disease process and how to manage it. Through these education activities, our urology residents are well-prepared to enter the field and continue their education.
