Scope of Service

• General Ultrasound studies: Abdomen, Renal, Gynecology, Musculoskeletal and Pediatric.

• Doppler US studies:

• Carotid, Upper and Lower Arteries and Veins, Varices Veins, and Renal Artery and Veins.

Special US Procedure:

•  Breast, OB/GYN, Post-Organs Transplantation exams, Share Wave Elastography.

Machines:

• High-end US machines: 5

• OB/GYN Configured US machines: 12

• US machines for US guided Biopsy: 2

• Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce diagnostic images. The technology of Ultrasound answers many medical questions and concerns.

• In Ultrasound procedures, a small amount of gel is applied on the skin then transducer sends out harmless high-frequency sound waves into the body. Some exams may use different transducers (with different capabilities) during one single exam.

• Preparations depend on the type of exam. For some scans like abdomen, the patient needs to fast for 9 - 12 hrs. Other scans such as pelvis and KUB, the patient needs to drink water.
