Fundamentals of Business Writing Skills

Course Description:
This course aims to build on basics of English grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and structure in order to improve overall writing skills in Plain English. This course will cover the different documents and written correspondence that are a part of standard business procedures: emails, letters, and memos.

At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1- Become familiar using Plain English in different types of business correspondence
2- Communicate clearly, concisely, and correctly by improving overall plain English skills
3- Display improvement in lexical usage and understanding
4- Produce higher quality and effective written communicative output
5- Show accurate use of grammar, punctuation, and transitional language required for different business correspondence
6- Draft, edit, and error-correct independently.
