Our vision is to become the leading cardiac center in Saudi Arabia, with skilled and experienced professionals and state-of-the-art facility. Our primary services include Adult Cardiology Services, Cardiac Surgical Program, and Thoracic Division. Our specialized cardiac clinics comprise Adult Congenital Heart Clinic, Heart Failure and Transplant Clinic, Anti-coagulation Clinic, Arrhythmia and Pacemaker Clinic, Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Program, and Structural Heart Disease Interventional Program. Since 2002, the department has been conducting educational activities like Interventional Cardiovascular Conference and joint conferences.

 

Scope of Services:

  1. Adult Cardiology services including non-invasive testing, imaging and treatment (diagnostic Cath, coronary interventions, electrophysiology and cardiothoracic surgery).
  2. Cardiac Surgical Program including coronary bypass, valve repair/replacement, thoracic procedures, ventricular reduction surgery (SVR), and complex congenital Heart Surgery.
  3. Thoracic Division that provides tertiary care service including thoracic vascular surgery, esophageal and lung surgery.

Educational Activities:

The Cardiovascular Department is proud of its successful educational activities such as the Interventional Cardiovascular Conference (ICC) and Joint Conferences with the American Colleges of Cardiology since 2002. Such academic activities are essential to the development of a cardiac center of excellence and provide a unique opportunity of international exposure and networking.

 

CARDIOLOGY NON-INVASIVE LABORATORY (CNIL):

Cardiology Non-invasive Laboratory is a team composed of cardiologists, cardiovascular technologists, and nurses who work together to provide diagnostic information for patients of all ages known to or suspected to have cardiac diseases which include coronary artery disease, rheumatic valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathies, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertensive heart disease, aortic heart disease, pericardial disease and systemic disease with cardiac manifestation.

Our mission is to provide patients with the highest quality of tertiary medical care for all types of cardiovascular diseases in an integrated educational and research setting through clinical practice, teaching and research.

We offer cardiac non-invasive procedures such as an electrocardiogram (12-lead, rhythm strip, and signal averaging), echocardiography (2-D, 3-D, Fetal and Stress), holter and blood pressure monitoring, stress testing with different modalities and analysis of cardiac devices (pacemaker, ICD, CRT and loop recorder. Also, we provide a 24/7 services to in-house and emergency patients.

Annually, we perform over 20,000 non-invasive diagnostic procedures for both in and outpatients.

Our department is also providing internship Echo rotation for students from other universities across the kingdom.
