With its eight subspecialty units (Allergy/Immunology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Pulmonary Medicine, and Rheumatology), three medical units (Sleep Medicine Unit, Hemodialysis Unit, and Endoscopy), and two outstanding training programs (Residency and Fellowship), the Department of Medicineprovides primary medical care services to in- and out-patients. The department is one of the largest at the hospital, and it constantly strives to update its technology and medical care through research and development. Its new programs include the Pulmonary Hypertension Program, the Hyperbaric Oxygen Unit, and the Vascular Access Program.
