Dr. Gausche-Hill is the Vice Chair, and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Director of the EMS and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowships at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. She is nationally known for her work as EMS researcher and educator, and for her leadership in the field of pediatric emergency medicine. In 2004 she was awarded the ACEP National Education Award in Emergency Medicine, in 2005 was awarded the Martha Bushore-Fallis APLS award from the American Academy of Pediatrics, in 2007 was awarded the Emergency Medical Services for Children Heroes Award for Lifetime Achievement, in 2008 was named one of the Heroes of Emergency Medicine by the American College of Emergency Physicians, in 2010 was a finalist for the Daily Breeze Healthcare Provider of the Year, and in 2011 was chosen as the Honorable Mention Speaker of the Year for the American College of Emergency Physicians.
