The Academic & Training Affairs are pleased to announce the upcoming “Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Fellowship Program” offered by the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory at KFSHRC, Riyadh.
This 24-month intensive program will provide advanced training in the field of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics, focusing on the technical and clinical aspects of Histocompatibility Testing and Transplant Immunology.
Job Description & Duties
The Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center is offering a training position for a Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics fellowship. The 24-month training program will be starting on 01 March 2025.
The training provides intensive didactic and technical training in the field of Histocompatibility testing and transplant immunology. It will provide the fellow with the knowledge and skills to assume an HLA Laboratory Director position. It will also prepare the fellow for certification examination by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) and certification by the American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) Director Training Review Committee (DTR). The fellow will be expected to conduct research projects relevant to clinical applications of Immunogenetics and Histocompatibility.
Qualifications & Required Skills
Applications are expected to have a PhD in Immunology, Genetics or a related biological science or an MD with at least 3 years of residency training. Prior training is preferred.
