Scope of Service

Bed Utilization Service aim to promote the efficient flow of patients from admission, transfer to discharge by ensuring that barriers within the system are managed or eliminated. The department identifies opportunities for process Improvements and uses a collaborative approach of process. It involves assessment, planning, facilitation, and supporting services to address patients’ health requirements through communication and resources that help promote high-quality and cost-effective outcomes, to develop timely action plans to decrease the length of stay, increase admissions, and prevent readmissions.
