Introduction:

The Clinical Engineering Department at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) is committed to providing graduates of Clinical/Biomedical Engineering with the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare them to enroll in the market of allied health professional service providers. Our internship-training program focuses on enriching theoretical knowledge in addition to practical and hand-on skills.

Objectives:

• Identify technical processes related to medical equipment from Services/ Operation manuals.
• Apply test equipment for medical equipment calibration malfunctions.
• Recognize technical database for medical equipment in case of problem reporting/ technical history.
• Illustrate the technical process of replacing parts of medical equipment from the service manual.

Duration:

2, 3, or 6 months (based on university requirements)

Acceptance Criteria:

• Internship request letter from the intern’s sponsor
• Saudi national or born to a Saudi mother 
• A GPA of 3.5 out of 5 or 3 out of 4 and above
• Pass the interview
• Pass a written quiz by the Clinical Engineering Department with 60% and above
