Heart Center - Cardiac Cath Laboratory Riyadh
Introduction:
The Invasive Cardiology Laboratory is committed to preparing graduates to provide the highest quality of non-invasive cardiac investigations for patients of KFSHRC and to all other departments in a highly specialized hospital environment. Cardiac Cath Laboratory is where tests and procedures, including ablation, angiogram, angioplasty, and implantation of pacemakers / ICDs are carried out. This internship-training program will help interns perform and understand the procedures related to cardiac diseases and their diagnostic treatment.
Objectives:
• Understand the basic fundamentals of cardiac physiology.
• Recognize the structure of the heart and its anatomy.
• Establish rapport with staff to develop a good work ethic.
• Perform diagnosable cardiac imaging and handling equipment.
• Develop clinical and skills proficiency.
Duration:
Three (3) months
Acceptance Criteria:
• Internship request letter from intern’s sponsor
• Saudi national or born to a Saudi mother
• A GPA of 3.5 out of 5 or 3 out of 4 and above
• Currently enrolled in a recognized Cardiovascular Technology or Equivalent Program
• Valid English Qualification IELTS. (minimum score of 4.5, or equivalent)
