Project Summary
The Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Registry at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) is designed to establish and maintain a comprehensive database of patients diagnosed and treated for HCC, the most common form of liver cancer. By collecting and analyzing real-world data, this project aims to identify key risk factors, monitor treatment outcomes, and evaluate the quality of care provided. The registry seeks to address challenges specific to HCC management pertinent to KFSHRC and the broader context of Saudi Arabia.
Through collaboration with regional and international liver cancer registries, the project will serve as a valuable resource for healthcare providers, facilitating education, training, and strategic planning. Looking ahead, the registry will also enable future research in artificial intelligence, offering opportunities to help predict disease progression and personalize treatments. Additionally, the anonymized data from the registry will contribute to scientific publications and research presentations at both local and international conferences, thereby contributing to the advancement of liver cancer research and clinical practice in the Kingdom.
