Career Background

Dr. Edward Hitti holds MSc and PhD degrees in Molecular Genetics from the University of Vienna, and a BSc from the American University of Beirut. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Medical School Hannover, Germany, within a European Union-funded research network focusing on signaling pathways in disease. Since 2007, he has been part of KFSHRC, progressing to Senior Scientist in Innovation and Research.

His research focuses on RNA systems biology, inflammation, and cancer, with a strong emphasis on bioinformatics, RNA sequencing, and translational applications. He has supervised multiple MSc and PhD students and contributed to international collaborations. He integrates computational and experimental approaches to elucidate regulatory mechanisms underlying human disease.
