Dr. Shady A. Kamel is a Consultant in Preventive Medicine and Clinical Scientist with more than 20 years of experience in epidemiology, public health, infection prevention and control, clinical research, and healthcare quality. He currently serves at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC), leading clinical research projects, educational initiatives, grant development, and oncology registry activities.
His previous leadership positions include Academic Head of the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) at the Saudi Ministry of Health, Head of Preventive Medicine at Prince Faisal Cancer Center, Head of Infection Control at Arab Contractors Medical Center, and Head of Quality Control at Ain Shams University Hospital. Dr. Kamel has extensive expertise in outbreak investigations, national surveillance programs, biostatistics, research supervision, and medical education. He has contributed to numerous scientific publications and multidisciplinary research projects in infectious diseases, oncology, palliative care, chronic diseases, and genetic epidemiology.
