Tarek Elkaissi

Dr. Tarek Elkaissi is a Senior Medical Physicist and Section Head with over 20 years of experience in radiation oncology physics across leading international institutions. He specializes in advanced radiotherapy techniques including VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and CyberKnife, with extensive expertise in treatment planning, system commissioning, and quality assurance.

Dr. Elkaissi currently, he leads clinical physics operations at KFSHRC, supporting high-volume, complex cancer treatments.is actively involved in implementing new technologies, optimizing clinical workflows, and ensuring compliance with international standards. His research interests include imaging accuracy, motion management, and advanced radiotherapy delivery techniques.

Dr. Tarek Elkaissi has over 20 years of experience in radiation oncology physics across Australia, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Prior to his current position as Section Head, he held roles as Lead Medical Physicist at Hamad Medical Corporation and Senior Medical Physicist at KFSHRC. He has extensive experience in the commissioning and clinical integration of advanced radiotherapy solutions, and spearheaded the implementation of modern treatment techniques within leading-edge clinical environments.

Dr. Elkaissi holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Melbourne. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and accredited by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM).
