The American College of Cardiology (ACC) is an international non-profit medical society dedicated to leading the fight to eliminate heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide.
The ACC Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) accreditation focuses on the efficient and effective care of acute coronary syndrome patients and drives hospitals to establish consistent, high-quality processes across the continuum of care. ACC awards this accreditation to organizations that have proven exceptional competency and commitment in treating patients with heart attack symptoms and have primary PCI available 24/7.
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre - Riyadh has established the chest pain program in 2010, and since has been recognized three times by the ACC (2012, 2015, & 2019) as the only accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
