Introduction:

This rotation aims to highlight the storage, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of biological data, especially data on nucleic acids and amino acids, and studies molecular rules and systems that govern or affect the structure, function, and evolution of various forms of genomics from computational approaches.

 

Objectives:

  • Define the basics of bioinformatics such as clinical application
  • Understand the Linux operating system and its use in bioinformatics
  • Demonstrate the Python programming for bioinformatics
  • Know the Data Science for Bioinformatics
  • Recognize the next-generation sequencing technologies
  • Identify pipelines in medical applications.

 

Duration:

One month

 

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Internship request letter from Intern’s sponsor
  • Saudi national or borne from Saudi mother only
  • GPA 3 out of 4 and above
  • Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or related field. Or Bachelor or Master in Life science-related field with some background information about computing
  • Pass the Interview
  • Valid English Qualification IELTS. (Minimum score is 4.5 overall or equivalent)
